Just before Elisa had to go home she asked me and our friend Carla to give her a crazy new haircut: a symbol of her time in Australia. (I did the exact same thing when I came home from France!) So we cut her hair: we razored one half of her head, then layered the other side, leaving it long, with the fringe gently slanting down.
You can sort of see it in the photo above, except she is hiding behind that scarf! Elisa has a fantastic style that is almost the polar opposite to mine! Bright, crazy colours, 80’s knits and dresses, leggings and wayfarers, she always looks fantastic! The haircut suited her style really well too. I have talked alot about the kind of haircuts I am interested in on this blog: 20’s and 30’s wispy curls and bobs, or Mia Farrow pixie cuts, but I thought I might do a post on other cuts: ones that might not suit my current style so much, but which I love all the same.

From the Sartorialist. Yes, another little pixie cut. But it has a straight fringe, and its worn with great clothes that are completely different to my own style, so its different!

From the Sartorialist. One of my favourite short styles, and so perfect for the outfit too. I think you really need curly hair though for that cute little quiff!

From bosshair.com. I love asymmetrical anything, hairstyles included! I don’t know why, but I do. I always have to put a brooch or something on a cardi, and I don’t think I could ever have a straight across fringe for example, I would always have to be sweeping it to one side! Our bodies are never perfectly asymmetrical, and I like my clothing to reflect that in one small way or another.
